Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to send a gift with Vela, and everyone who receives one to be able to accept it. That includes people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, larger text or reduced motion.

What we do

• You can always zoom. We never turn it off, even inside the in-app browsers that gift links open in.
• Everything you can tap is a real button or link with a name a screen reader can read.
• If your device asks for less motion, our animations stop.
• Text and controls are designed to stay readable against our dark background.
• Error messages say what went wrong and how to fix it, in words, not only in colour.

What is not right yet

• Vela is in English only for now, and does not yet support right-to-left languages.
• We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
