Support
Someone sent me a link. Is this real?
Probably, and here is how to check. Every Vela gift link starts with velagifts.com. Nothing else is us — not a shortened link, not a redirect, not a similar-looking domain. We never ask you for a password, a card number, or a payment of any kind, and we never will. The gift is already paid for.
If the link is genuine it will show you who sent it as soon as you open it. If you do not recognise the name, you can decline, and you can tell us not to let that person send you anything again.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. The link opens in whatever browser your phone already uses. There is nothing to download, nothing to sign up for, and no password to invent.
Will the person who sent it see my address?
No — and not as a matter of policy. Your address is encrypted with a key our sender-facing systems cannot reach. They see that your details are confirmed, and later that the gift arrived. They never see the street, the building, the city or the country. Read the full detail.
The link says it has expired
Gift links stay open for three days so that nothing sits in limbo. When one expires we cancel the order and refund the person who sent it automatically. If you would still like the gift, the simplest thing is to tell them — sending it again takes a few taps.
The link is not working at all
Gift links are 26 letters and numbers after velagifts.com/g/. The usual cause is a message that wrapped the link across two lines, so only part of it was copied. Try copying the whole thing again. If it still does not work, ask the person who sent it to resend.
I do not want gifts from this person
You can stop them sending you anything again, permanently. You do not need an account for this and we will not tell them. Here is how blocking works.
How it works, if you are the one sending
- Choose a gift and pay. Prices are in US dollars with delivery, duties and taxes included.
- Share the link we give you, through whichever app you already use to talk to them.
- They open it, accept, tell us which country they are in, and fill in their own delivery details.
- A local supplier makes and delivers it. You are told when it is opened, accepted, on its way and delivered.
Reaching a person
